No one knows for certain why the first prehistoric peoples to enter Paradise Valley created the shield-warrior petroglyphs that adorn a limestone cliff near Carter’s Bridge. But perhaps these amazing men and women knew how special this beautiful Yellowstone River Valley was, and they wanted to protect it.
Montana has changed a great deal during the last thousand years, but the things that made Paradise Valley special—the Yellowstone River, clean cold water, cutthroat trout and abundant wildlife--remain the same.
As current caretakers, the staff of Sweetwater Fly shop want to do our part to protect Paradise. So we are donating 25% of the sales from our Sweetwater Petroglyph T-shirts to the Park County Environmental Council to help ensure that this amazing place remains full of cold, clean water and wild trout for the next thousand years.
